Stabilising Food Security and Protecting Livelihoods

This project is fostering food security, rural development and gender equality for poor rural men and women, including households headed by women and those affected by HIV/AIDS in Zimbabwe. CHF is working with our local partner to reduce hunger and increase resilience among rural men and women in Manicaland and Matabeleland South Provinces of Zimbabwe.

CHF started working in Zimbabwe in 1997 on water and food supply projects in the driest areas. Natural resource management has continued to be a strong focus in our projects – helping people and communities in rural areas to cope with drought and environmental degradation while also protecting natural resources that can be used to improve nutrition, health and incomes.
