Kids this age (well any age really) love to get recognition for good deeds they've done. I think it solidifies their sense of pride about helping others. Our class was happy to be able to help CHF in their endeavours. The kids really enjoyed being able to choose what gifts we were going to give [through CHF's Gifts That Matter campaign]. We spent half an hour analysing, debating and voting on it.
They also enjoyed the guest speakers. It's been a great experience all around!

Recently, I had the opportunity to go to a local elementary school and accept a cheque on behalf of CHF for money the students raised for our Gifts That Matter campaign. I have never felt such positive energy from so many young people looking to make a difference in the lives of children, just like them, half a world away.
CHF programs are undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
